How the calculator works

The calculator is a planner built on the structure this site has verified for the three common builds, not a simulation of in-game numbers. It answers the question the skill trees overview raises: with a finite pool under a day cap, what should the order of tree investment look like before you spend?

The goal

The three goal buttons set which tree you anchor on. A day-focused goal leads with Witchcraft, a night-focused goal leads with Vampirism, and balanced leads with Swordmastery, which is the anchor in every common build. Your sliders decide the actual point count per tree; the goal decides the priority order the tier plan is built from.

The tier-by-tier route

Your committed points are split across the three tiers each build guide uses — roughly 45% on the first structural tier, 30% on coverage, 25% on endgame payoff. Each tier shows which trees it funds and why: the first tier anchors the build, the second opens coverage for your weaker half of the day, and the third lands the endgame payoff. The split is a planning heuristic, not an in-game value — the useful part is the shape (what is funded early versus late), not the exact numbers.

The balance and caveats

The two bars read your day and night power as a share of committed points. The warnings are the decision rules from the build guides, applied to your allocation in real time: the anchor rule (Swordmastery too light means the build has lost its spine), the lopsided rules (Vampirism or Witchcraft far outpacing the other makes a day- or night-heavy build), and the even-split failure (three similar depths is spreading, not building). Because node names and per-node costs are in-game data that vary by version, and this site only verifies at the branch/tier level. A route shape tells you the order and weighting — which tree to anchor on, where to open coverage, where the endgame payoff lands — without inventing specifics that a patch could change.

What pool size should I set? +

Whatever your version of the game actually grants over a 30-day run. The exact total is in-game data, so set the pool to match yours; every output is relative and scales with it, so any value gives you a workable shape.

Does the game have a respec? +

A respec is not confirmed for the launch build, so the calculator plans on the assumption that every point is permanent. Commit in completed pieces, keep a reserve for the final stretch, and budget against day 30 rather than against "when I have enough points."
