Xanthe is the oldest vampire: an ancient priestess who hears voices beyond ordinary perception and is terrified by what she understands. She is one of the three vampire vassals who run the field underneath Brencis — alongside Ambrus and Bakir — and all three arcs must be resolved before the endgame.
